To-do Comments

Every to-do has its own discussion thread, so the conversation about a task lives with the task.

Comments let your team discuss a specific to-do without leaving SixGrid: ask a question, report progress, or leave context for whoever picks the task up next. Each to-do has its own thread, and commenting notifies the person the to-do is assigned to (see Notifications).

Opening a Discussion

Every to-do row shows a comment chip: a speech-bubble icon with the comment count. Click it to open the discussion in a drawer that slides in from the right. The chip is always visible, so you can see at a glance which to-dos have activity.

The thread reads chronologically, oldest at the top and newest at the bottom, and automatically scrolls to the newest comment when you open it. Each comment shows the author and the date and time it was posted.

Posting a Comment

  • Type in the composer at the bottom of the drawer. Comments can be multiple lines and up to 5,000 characters.
  • Click Post, or press Cmd+Enter (Mac) / Ctrl+Enter (Windows) to post from the keyboard.
  • The thread scrolls to your new comment as soon as it posts.

Editing and Deleting

You can edit or delete your own comments from the thread. People with full project access can also manage comments left by others.

Deleting a comment is permanent. A confirmation dialog appears before the comment is removed. If you'd rather skip the confirmation in the future, check "Don't show this message again" before confirming; that preference is saved per browser.

Who Can Comment

  • Anyone who can work in the project can read and post comments.
  • Executives (read-only role) can open and read discussions, but the composer is hidden for them.
