The Settings area is accessible from the sidebar (Owner and Admin only). It has two tabs:

The General tab contains Organization Branding — upload or remove your custom logo. See the Organization Branding section for details.
Billing
The Billing tab shows your subscription status and plan management. See below for details.
Billing & Subscription
Viewing Your Plan
All organization members can see the current plan, trial status, and billing period by navigating to Settings > Billing. Owners and Admins see the Settings link in the sidebar. The Settings page has two tabs: General (organization branding) and Billing (subscription management). The Billing tab shows:
- Your current plan (Free, Professional, or Teams)
- Trial status and days remaining (if applicable)
- Number of seats (Professional plan)
- Current billing period end date
- Whether the subscription is set to cancel
Starting a Subscription
Owners and Admins can start a subscription from the billing page. Choose your plan (Professional or Teams) and billing interval (monthly or annual). If your organization hasn't used a trial yet, you'll automatically get a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
Managing Your Subscription
From the billing page, Owners and Admins can:
- Switch plans — Move between Professional and Teams. The cost difference is prorated.
- Cancel — Sets your subscription to cancel at the end of the current billing period.
- Reactivate — If cancellation is pending, undo it and keep your subscription active.
- Manage payment method — Opens Stripe's secure billing portal where you can update your card, view invoices, and download receipts.
How Seats Work (Professional Plan)
On the Professional plan, you pay per user. When someone accepts an invitation and joins your organization, your seat count increases and the prorated cost is added to your next invoice. When someone is removed, the seat count decreases and you receive a credit on your next invoice.
The minimum seat count is 1 (the account Owner). You're never charged less than 1 seat.
Pricing & Plans
SixGrid offers three plans. All plans include the same core CI tools — the difference is how many users and projects you can have.
Free
- 1 user, 1 project
- All CI method templates (DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, PDCA, A3)
- Charter, milestones, to-dos, financial tracking, file attachments
- Final report PDF generation
- Sample DMAIC project to learn from
- Free forever, no credit card required
The Free plan does not require a credit card or subscription. You can use it indefinitely. When you're ready for more, upgrade to Professional or Teams.
Professional — $19/month per user (or $180/year per user)
- Everything in Free
- Unlimited projects
- Add as many users as you need — each additional user is $19/month (or $15/month if paid annually)
- Groups, roles (Owner, Admin, Manager, User, Executive), and manager-scoped visibility
- Email notifications (member added, to-do assigned, milestone reminders)
- Dashboard — My To-dos, Upcoming Milestones
- Activity log
- Custom organization logo
Professional is per-seat billing. The account Owner's payment method is charged for all users on the plan. When you invite someone and they accept, the prorated cost for that user is added to your next invoice — you won't see a surprise mid-cycle charge. If you remove a user, you receive a prorated credit on your next invoice.
Teams — $349/month flat (or $3,588/year flat)
- Everything in Professional
- Unlimited users — no per-seat charges
- Organization-wide reports and financial summaries
Teams is a flat monthly rate regardless of how many users you have. If you have more than about 18 users, Teams is more cost-effective than Professional.

Free Trial
All paid plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. During the trial you get full access to your chosen plan's features.
How the trial works:
- You get one trial per organization. You can use it when you first sign up, or later when you upgrade from the Free plan for the first time.
- No credit card is required to start a trial. You won't be charged anything during the 14 days.
- At the end of the trial, you'll be prompted to add a payment method to continue on your paid plan.
- If you don't add a payment method within 3 days after the trial ends (the grace period), your account is automatically moved to the Free plan. Your data is preserved — you just can't create new projects beyond the Free plan's 1-project limit until you subscribe.
- You can add a payment method at any time during or after the trial.
Billing
SixGrid uses Stripe for subscription billing. Here's what you need to know:
- Charged in advance. You pay for the upcoming billing period, not the past one.
- Proration. If you add or remove users mid-cycle on the Professional plan, the cost difference is added to (or credited on) your next invoice. You won't see a surprise charge on a random day.
- Plan switching. You can switch between Professional and Teams at any time from your billing settings. Switching from Teams to Professional will show you the per-user cost math so you can confirm before switching. Proration is applied automatically.
- Cancellation. When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. You're not charged again after that, and your account moves to the Free plan.
- Reactivation. If you've set your subscription to cancel but the billing period hasn't ended yet, you can reactivate it from billing settings.
- Who can manage billing. Owners and Admins can start subscriptions, manage billing, switch plans, and cancel. All organization members can view the current plan and trial status.
- Payment method. Managed through Stripe's billing portal — a secure page where you can update your card, view invoices, and manage your subscription.
The billing entity is Open Source Six Sigma, LLC. The charge on your credit card statement will appear as SIXGRID.
Annual Billing
Both Professional and Teams offer annual billing at a discount:
- Professional: $15/month per user when paid annually ($180/year per user — save 21%)
- Teams: $299/month equivalent when paid annually ($3,588/year — save 14%)
Annual subscriptions are billed as a single charge once per year.
